Norcal-

great pickups- congrats on the Carpes. S40's are rare.

I'm really hoping the memorias project happens.

those look awesome. I can't wait to see what they look like with a little wear. But then again, I know most people on this thread/forum and sz prefer there boots getting ruffed up a bit, but I love how merz shines the toe of his guidis (or at least they look shined). they look great with a little shine too.

as for those augusta's up there...I like most of them, but what I don't get about augusta is he makes so many with a low heel. He experiments with different materials, designs, and shapes more than most in this market, and I appreciate that, but with the exception of aventindietro boots, where the low heel seems to work with the aesthetic, I don't see low heels working on augustas. With boots/shoes like his, heels should be at least 1'', if not 1.2''. When working with such substantial leathers and aggressive designs, as he is, low heels don't work.
my favorite pair is the black boot third from the top. beautiful.

Hopefully I be posting a pair soon..

These are nice,  Is there a company that makes a cheaper version of these?

I doubt there are any lower price-point options that use Guidi leather. If you're just looking for something in a similar style, then you could probably find something from Buttero, F&B, or Paul StuartSmith. Perhaps try searching for military-style boots on Yoox?

I'd look at buttero and paul smith, not paul stuart--that's full on MC material. Arknets has the nicest buttero styles, but they're like twice the price of the barney's models.

yea dude if you want buttero go for barneys, no need to drop 800 on boots, also Shoto has cool stuff as does F&B and MMM

Heh, I meant Paul Smith. I have no idea where Paul Stuart came from... never even heard of that brand.
