Im a sz9 in most horse cordovan ccp footwear, but have to size up on his bison stuff as it seems to shrink more than horse.

Regarding ranking, it just comes down to what rocks your boat.
I prefer the raw and more 'earthy' and structured stuff, so ccp and Augusta are by far my favourite footwear designers.
I also love ma+ but find the more refined finish is less for me. Guidi is bottom of my list as I find the boots are generally too narrow for my feet and far less structured in the toe cap etc

yea same here on guidi, they are a bit narrow but i appreciate the construction,

so if you are a 9 in ccp, does that mean you wear 44(us11)?

Also how is the sizing on those kangaroo tornados? as in im an 11 is 9 my ccp sizing?

No.....I'm a standard uk sz9 / eur43 / us sz10 and I'm ccp sz9, augusta sz9, ma+ sz43, layer-0 sz43.

except for ccp, I very rarely ever vary in sizing in the other brand, and find the sizing very consistent.

But as im sure you know, its best to double check outsole measurements before kopping to be 100% sure. After years of experience I know exactly what my max and minimum tolerance cm lengths are depending on round or pointy toe cap.

you havent been horribly mis-informed, and i don't want to annoy everybody taking up the whole thread on sizing, but in a nut shell, these are my thoughts and experiences....

carol produces his footwear before it is dyed (compared to other designers who dye the leather then cut and shape it....)....he does a lot of work clculating how the leather will shrink etc in the dying process and then takes that into account when making the original dimensions of shoe.....trouble is leather reacts in a way nobody can know when it is wet and then dryed, so sometimse what he thinks will be a sz9 can end up shrinking more (become a sz8), or shrink less than he expected and become a sz10.....

I  have found the 7x out of 10 he will be spot on, and a sz9 = a sz9, but on some occasions, best 2 examples was the 09 CUBA-PTC derbies where the leather hardly shrank at all, and everybody found they needed to size down up to 2 sizes....i had a pair of these in a sz7 baldy[1].gif and the 2010 BISON tornadoes where the leather sharnk more than expected oand everybody had to size up......these odd occurances lead people to assume the sizing is compeltely random and f8cked up......but i'd say its more one-off trhan a normal occurance

it all seems so confusing, but retailers are usually very very helpful when it comes to sizing and ccp...

I just know that for my sz9 feet I take a minimum 32.5cm outsole measurement on a ccp irrelevant of the size stamped on the sole, and in augusta because of the round and quite roomy toe i can take from 30.5cm-31.5cm...any bigger and they are too big, any smaller and too tight.....9 times out of 10 that is a sz9 in augusta

every shoe brand should just use centimeter sizing, fuck

Thank you - They are a really amazing pair of tornadoes.....they are LUC-PTC/10....nice and smooth horse cordovan - i really don't like scarring in my leather so i stay away from the other cordovans such as CUBA/CUL etc............just ordered some CCP side zips (diferent to torandoes) in LUC-PTC/19 which is a great grey colour.....can't wait!
