No, but it is a community, and we don't have that many set rules. The only rule is to never argue with an admin or mod when have that hat on. And no porn or racist slurs. Everything else is moderator discretion.

pretty much what has happened, i find too many predators lurking and taking advantage for personal gains so i am less likely to share publicly...

FWIW, the rare times I sell, it's at cost, or I just give it away. In the early days, that was the norm.

Which sucks. Incidentally, Solis was women's only, but the Margiela belts were so good, I want the men's version.

unfortunately it does. i like sharing but not when it leads to people buying at $600 + 20-30% off then flipping for $800...

like you, i prefer at-cost or i even don't mind taking losses if hooking up the homies but i'm not gonna do homework for those trying to make pretty pennies off the community spam[1].gif

Shah let's form a mutual non-aggression, pro-community deal sharing pact! redface.gif

Honestly if he wants to flip more power to him I guess, I personally can't see the hassle of dealing with the ~post office~ and ~paypal~, two of my worst enemies, for a couple bucks. Not something I can get behind but it's not the end of the world (I also dislike those L&F boots)

In boot talk, these Devoa ankle boots are very comfortable, one of my favorite footwear pieces they've put out:

Still don't like the round heel, though:

Agreed on the no roundheel. Otherwise, the design is really cool.

@the shah, how does the Guidi 017 fit?  I've been meaning to order a pair, and I know that you used to have them.  I've heard that they are more true to size?  And the toe is rounded but not as exaggerated as some other models?  I want to channel some trashed out cowboy in the California badlands, not some urban ninja dude, so what I'm looking for is probably a little different from what people who usually buy Guidi.  Help a brother out.

they'll work much better with slimmer pants than what i wear. they were perfect oxblood color and shaft height wasn't overwhelming but enough to hide under pant hems (no tucking on this, i'd assume). the toe was definitely not rounded and it fit much closer to true size. the 44 was huge on me, would have needed 42.5-43. for reference, 42 in mmm/cp/etc

Nice.  I wish that you hadn't decided to sell those until I needed/wanted them.  They look perfect.  I am a 44 in margiela GATs, and 43 in CPs, and usually a 9.5UK in most UK brands, so I suppose that I'd be a 44.  I'll probably go with a slightly lighter color, like those that were sold on Mr Porter.

Pretty sure those are 017. Here are a pair of 994.

About the same height but different construction.

@eton97

I am getting a lot of heat for absolutely nothing. You guys remember that I bought something and it is my property; hence, I choose what i do with it. You cannot have a forum hive mind dictate a person's life. This is the same as me buying a stock at a lower price and people getting mad when i sell it at a higher price.

Now.... here is whats going on and eton/la guy believe it if you will. I hope you do because you pm with me and know me a lot better then the people criticizing me.

1. I bought 2 pairs to ensure i get a size for myself. one pair was always for me but if someone offered me a bunch of cash, say 800-1000, i would consider selling. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. I'd be stupid not to take the money thats why the 43 is up in the interest check.
2. Its an interest check if people aren't interested then ask yourself why derail my sale? If someone in the world is willing to pay for the boots then thats their choice. Member @onijo84 got mad because i told him that he can have the boots at an additional cost which was reasonable. Now he is pissed at me for not selling him a boot that he could not fit into.
3. Everyone complaining about this is not an 11 or 12 and won't fit these so why are they mad?

So that the forum becomes a bit happier about this i am taking the size 43 off the market those are mine as I have mentioned a few times. 44 is still up for grabs and if someone wants them I will negotiate with them on the price which i will determine with the buyer.
