Wish there was something like this with a more sleeker shape available...

Anyone familiar with reverse horse sizing on the 696 model or 986? ankle side zip and back zip, respectively.

The size 43 995 in reverse kangaroo feels comfortable FWIW. I'm being told that the lace up boots are usually 1.5 small.

Saw them in person, construction is great but boot is ugly overall

That's why I said "Wish there was something like this with a more sleeker shape available...".

Devoa does make very high quality stuff. The linen coat I have is just amazing and looks good in worn in a couple of different ways...

The ramie over leather thing is what turns me off. It's gorgeous leather (or so it appears from what I can see). To cover it with... ramie... seems really stupid, IMO.

And yes, the ones above are terrible.

There have been a few good ones (cloth over leather) by the regular suspects. Wearing them makes them look better once the creases and marks set in.

Here is one from A1923

Those do look better by virtue of there not being a faux toecap made by cutting the ramie short of covering the entire front of the boot (I think Synth is selling a nice pair, as well).

Why, yes, yes I am. I really like the canvas, actually - there's a pair of canvas CP boots in the contentedness thread that I think look incredible, too. It's a cool alternative.
