Was at Tototkaelo today; lots of Plokhov boots at big discounts:

Plus many other good pieces from different lines...

Can't get over the studs on those plokhov boots

^felt the same. You mean the nails on the side? Would have been better it.

@uzairh - how is the quality on the AP footwear? Where would these fall amongst the brands spoken about here?

/\/\ IRL, the studs add a bit of an edge. Nothing bad at all. Of course, that is just IMHO smile.gif

@onijo84, all models I have tried/handled, in different stores, have felt solid. Not as good as our regular suspects, but for the price they are now, don't sleep if they have your size and you have wanted a pair!

The toe box is a bit bulbous, but the sizing is TTS length wise.

Dammit uzairh, I didn't need to see that!  Got the black suede low boots... was looking for black boots that are more casual than my CDiems, which come off as kind of dressy (4 hole lace boot).

I was not looking at anything pricey so at $325 these were more than I wanted to spend but they look nice.

I had a pair of Plokhov boots for a few days. The build quality was good - Guidi-esque. The leather was good, if a bit thin. The fit was good, if a little bulbous in the toe (I didn't mind). But the weird leather on the side thing was a turn off (my pair had the nails/studs on the sole, holding the leather together). It was not really attractive at best, and could have potentially torn/eroded with wear at worst.

I like my CCP better. biggrin.gif

Arent CCP like double RRP of Plokhov?

I got two pairs of Pokhovs for like, 750 bucks shipped, they are super nice and fill the bulbous toe +/- super distressed reverse leather that I wanted.

I would easily kop again, price / quality ratio is cray cray.

Will agree thats its pretty much Guidi level. The soles are like, triple leather though.

I think ap is closer to marsell if anything.

As far as price, there is a reason those ap went down in price. Even the quality did not attract too many people to them. Can you imagine if ccp went on sale that low? The shop would sell out. Point I am driving here is quality and odd design (sorry I do find the ap odd) won't sell. There is also the added bonus of other brands being more established than ap in the footwear category.

Sorry did not mean to knock on your ap, if you like them enjoy but when I look at them I know they aren't for me. There were some models I liked but not the ones that went on sale.

Something about those APs held me back from making the plunge. Great price though.
