Up 1 on backzips and 1-2 on laced, depending.
Thanks.
So that would apply to 995, too, right?
Just want to make sure that I don't need to send shoes back with the costs and risks that come with that.

I'd go up 1 if you like a tighter fit, and up 2 ONLY if you like a loose fit (my experience)

I'm looking at picking up a pair of Margiela lace-up ankle boots. Do any of you know if Margiela boots tend to run large, small, or true to size? I'm about a 9.5 US, and somewhere between a 42 and a 43 in Euro sizing.

Should I go for the 42, or size up to the 43?

I thought you knew, man.

i thought i did

A factory makes his shoes. Some of the tailored pieces (what Carol really cares about) is made in house, which is absolutely exceptional.

got anymore info on the factory? as in is it machine work or is it an old school factory with people working on individual pieces

Shoemaking isn't like the auto industry, every factory is rather rudimentary, having people operating machines using skill instead of an entirely automated process. Amount of handwork will vary from brand to brand even in the same factory. I have never visited the one he uses to produce now but his shoes are quite well made if that is what you're worrying about. Most of the stuff I wear day in day out, right now 3 pairs of boots (white Yohjis, black Balenciaga and grey Margielas) is not at that level and it holds on fine. A1923 and CCP are fashion products made to a good standard in factories that know what they're doing using interesting materials, shapes and colours, pick the ones you want at the price you want to pay and don't worry too much about comparing them.

quality is definitely a factor but what i am truly interested about is do a1923/ccp just design and where do they (a1923/ccp) fit in the manual process?
