Does it come with those laces?
Even though I already got a pair of Guidis, I still want a pair of these.

Augusta is using those laces on alot of footwear this season.

I personally think Layer-0 is doing the best derby this season

Some questions:
1. Will the black leather of the Guidi boots change to brown over time?
This here looks a bit brownish:

2. Are Officine Creative and Shoto boots on Luisaviarioma normally included in the sales?

3. How would you compare the Guidi horse and (baby) calf leather?

4. Are the sizes on the soles of Augusta boots stated in US or UK numbers? E.g. "8" is UK 8 and US 9. They fit one size large, right?

The dripping paint can be a bit much, but layer-0 doesn't do much distressing. Ccp and augusta do far more distressing than layer-0.

I love a pair of their derbies. I'd probably have bought the rubberband derbies by now if they had a taller heel. The pairs on this page are all great.

those are black. there's no brown in that picture...horse is stronger than calf, when it comes to most any shoes. With leather jackets, it really depends on the leather in question, quality calf is stronger than cheap horse. Baby calf is a tautology. it's perverse branding at best.

Augusta's sizing is all over the place.

I don't like Layers-0 as much, the dirty look on the shoes doesn't look that great on me, especially with it has that white dusty look. I also do not like the square cut of leather on the side, I just prefer it to be rounded. Also, is it just me of is it cut a bit high, it looks like it could pass as a chukka.

How flat and rounded are the Mid boots (995) from Guidi? Any photos?

Thanks for your reply.
I was just wondering because a number of leathers over time turn from black to brown. I think the dress leather by White's has that property. And the leather on the picture looked a bit like that. Also here, where it's clearly marked as black:

Do Guidi boots normally go on sale? With such low numbers it doesn't look like that.

I want to like Guidi, the quality is great, but after trying on a pair at H Lorenzo, ..Also the upper I guess.. because it's so soft and mold-to-your-feet it's very floppy and doesn't have much of a defined silhouette. Maybe I just need to try a pair with some stiffer leather, like the older ones above.
Which of the Guidi leathers is on the soft, floppy side and which ones are stiffer?
I'd like to avoid the leather sock thing.

My guess in cordovan cont(rario) is the stiffest; not available in zip boots.

I have a pair in size 9.5 us, and they're a little big for me, but I typically wear an 8 or 8.5. I.e. they are a little smaller than marked.

I'm selling them if you are interested.
