the mmm leather doesnt look great too me, seems like it will crack, i hope i am wrong...

maybe looking at a derby or lace ups, what you guys think ?

What models to look at ? Layer0, augusta , or try to scour for good ol carpes or classis guidis ?

Still trying to get a handle on Augusta sizing. Here are some outsole sizes on various models I was looking at from various retailers:

Horse back-zip (LVR), size 42: 30cm

Reverse calf back-zip (Au Revoir et Merci), size 42: 30.5cm

Kangaroo back-zips (Vertice London), size **41**: 30.5cm

My own pair of Augusta's (see sig), size 42 (insole stamped 43): 32.5cm


Seems like the older Augusta's fit larger perhaps?

LVR back zip seems about .5 cm short for 42.
