Cordovan is the only way to go in CCP imo. The kangaroo and stuff is of course lighter, but I feel cordovan really 'enhances' the CCP look as it's so rugged.

me too, that makes it a lot harder to purchase cool stuff at times...

fyi the rubber band boot is from around 2007 i think, any reason you wont do the fold-over boot? or is that the grail?
