Can't believe I'm agreeing with you on something. I don't mind a shoe having a heel but those are just too chunky. Reminds me too much of sorority girls and slouchy boots.

So is the consensus that these Buttero lace up boots fit one size large? I have seen some people say they size down two? Either way I'm probably out of luck since I'm a US10 / 43...

I sized down two, and it was kind of brutal at the get-go. They've stretched to become pretty comfortable at this point, although I can't fit an insole into them yet (partially because I haven't figured out what insole will work with the ridiculously narrow profile).

I will make it.
My grail outerwear piece is within inches of acquisition, and when that happens I think i'll enforce no kops for the rest of 2012.

and whats the grail???

no ****. very astute observation.
used to only be interested in shoes with >5cm heels.

chill man, was not poking fun at you, just the shoes... i am not a fan of that cuban heel, i've seen people pull them off well but they are not for me

buttero yes, the shoto no, had them for a month and they started falling apart...

It's probably not really grail-like, actually.
It's just a really nice, relatively simple technical piece of outerwear with a liner.
My wardrobe has enough loud pieces and I think this will be a good addition.
I will link once I've bought! don't want it selling out.
