Thanks man. I thought about having a pair of the red or green made for me but then i realized the color is too extreme for me. I wear my shit to work and don't need people staring at my boots. Having said that the red and green colors Alessio makes is beiriful. I am also impressed by CCP red, the tornados look great in red but again not for me.

@sinnedk I have both red and green, and I agree that the red are a bit over-the-top for some work environments (happily, not mine). The green ones, though, are dark enough that they don't attract much extra attention. Of course, I have seen some that were lighter green, so you would have to choose carefully. It's nice to have the choice on the rare day when you are bored with black boots. Or does that ever happen?

@docdocgs yea I figured that I can get something going with the green. I was going to order MTO then I made a detour trying to make Rick stuff work and @eckblk messaged me that the s cordovan r boots are available again so I jumped on em.

Re black idk, I wear jeans that aren't black so black boots work. Also the scarring makes them stand out. I do get bored occasionally so that's why my L0 aren't black :-)

If I were to get some M Moria shoes, would Idol Brooklyn be a reasonable place to go for them? Does M Moria happen to make different widths? My feet are on the narrow side with low insteps, which somebody previously said might be an issue...

You need the B or C last models. A is going to be the roomiest of the 3.

Hide [m] or Idol are will sort you out.

Given the price surely you'd want to actually try them on, though, right? I'd be pretty nervous ordering $3k+ shoes untested even with holger's rep.

Fortune favors the bold.

Seriously, though, you are totally correct. I am close enough that I could drop by Idol Brooklyn...they seem to only sell them MTO, so I don't know if they would have actual pairs to try on...I should ask them. I have bought other brands from them.

Idol is a good place to order from, I ordered my pair through them. They had a pair of A, B and C shape shoes in store so you're limited to those three sizes but it's worth to check out in person to get an idea for the three shapes.

Just bought these MA+ backzips as my first "artisanal" boots without much information. Can anyone tell me more about them such as leather/season?

I need to see the sole but I'd guess 2012/13 time frame
post #21823 of 22298
@curiouscharles, do you have any information regarding those backzips
