 is a snug fit that I prefer in a laceup since I can leave the laces loose. Going back to the insole discussion, I far prefer to add a half insole just to get me the arch support and heel cupping since my foot length is more of a 43.5 than an 11. Once my original release, 2010-11 era a1923 sz 43 dual zips ( opposite side zippers in really rough culatta, no rounded heel cup) broke-in, they are some of the most comfortable boots in my collection just with a pedag half in there. That boot is really what I joined this forum in search of initially after buying an oversized 44 at Atelier simply because they were so hardened through the toe that I coudn't tell how they were going to break in.

Anyway, I want a snug fitting tall combat from a1923 now which for me is a 43. I'm keeping an eye on some options but the deal I though I'd locked in already was pretty damn baller. I've had really terrible luck with bad sellers in the last few months actually. The market is apparently awash with assholes. I was shipped a pair of rihanna x puma fenty creepers and some random person somewhere has the a1923 that I actually bought. That was a shitty shock when opening the box.

Found a perfect pair and worked out a deal. Working out a return on the failed previous buy but I think I've got what I was looking for now.

My only complaint is that similar to MA+, the stitched in padded insole only goes halfway towards the toe and tends to roll backwards, curling up when you take then off. Should I try I to get this tacked down? I assume this is a known issue? Older l-0 I've tried had a whole sloppy curled flap of insole leather happening in there that even causes blisters in the arch.!

Any suggestions? I use shoe horns for getting them on in the AM.

Thanks guys

i don't have that issue... yet i guess

Man, those are the best! Awesome leather, great design. They look heavy-built, too. Apocalyptic-looking shit.

Just looking at those is making me cringe thinking about trying to extract my feet from them after walking around all day smile.gif

Awesome boots, however

These are pretty much my most comfy slippers now. I'm not worried about the combats.

@docdocgs  Thanks! I'm excited

I think they're the same just very diff lighting in the pics. Mine are from Darklands originally. The blue/black dye over oiled horse material description is accurate to these tho.

@psydle I always like those tall lace boots but now I think they would be too tall for me. More of a L0 6 hole lace up guy.

I get annoyed just taking off ankle boots......you guys are dedicated to wear those tall boots @_@

Once to save space packing I decided to wear a pair of nine-hole VA combat boots to the airport. That was ... kind of stupid. (But how often are you putting on and taking off your boots in a day, otherwise?)
