@jpc9 hey man nice boots! Can you explain a little of what these are, they look like the 2009 version but I don't see an exposed shank, did you remove it?

side zips don't have the shank

Pretty certain those never had an exposed shank on them. You'd be able to see the impressing and the rivet hole. My older sidezips have the same sole.

Thanks fellas, article was nice read as well. I think people mentioned removing the 2009 shank and I know psydle cleaned it up a bit.

Anyways I think those are great, could wear formal.

Also, for anyone who has any footwear in bison leather, can you comment on how it is compared to say, horse? Looking to get something in Bison but haven't ever handled the leather.
