Hey fellas (and possibly ladies),

First post here, and maybe you guys have already answered this, but I read and read and couldn't find an answer.

I recently purchased my first pair of Guidis, 988 in black reverse horse. After 3-4 wears, the shaft has gotten noticeably wider. You guys think it'd be possible to take it to a cobbler and have them narrow it a little?

It's gonna continue to stretch - the one-piece construction of Guidi boots puts a lot of stress on the shaft. It's certainly possible, but look for a good cobbler and wait a bit longer for the leather to keep stretching.

How is that?  I mean, the 988s, especially in horse, is pretty tough (I have a pair), and the other stressing I see is in creasing that will naturally take place at hte ankle because of the shape of the boot.  I haven't really felt that the shaft of my boots have really stretched...

I guess it's because of the jeans I stuffed in there. I guess trying to show the entire zipper really wasn't too good of an idea lol I'll just wear them out a little more and then get them narrowed, then just stick to rolled or cropped bottoms.
