Yup. here's a couple of pics from when I first got them:

I've been wearing out the CCP derbies more lately, but that's probably due to the fact that I was really trying to decide if I wanted to keep or resell. the issue was that the CCP fit great all through the forefoot, but there was still heel slippage, and no combination of insoles, heel inserts, tongue pads would remedy it (I've heard that this is not uncommon for 2007 era CCP derbies) . I ended up having my cobbler sew in a piece of leather in the heel and now they fit perfectly.

Yea I remember those, good pick up.

Great derbies, @ysb. I'm looking forward to seeing mine age with punishment.

Speaking of which, I mentioned that I've been wearing my black m_moriabc workboots quite a bit. Here are a few before-and-now pics (the "after" pic will likely be me and those boots in a little urn, all ashes, unless my son is lucky enough to have the same size feet).

Now:

and a little closer in:

It makes me happier to go to work than normal just because I get to wear these.

Very nice, Doc.

Didn't like the infinity laces, eh?

They're a bit of a pain, I'll admit, but I can't bear the thought of cutting them.

Wear on, sir. Wear on.

Thanks, Alex. yeah, I got impatient with them, but I have held back on messing with the laces on my red pair, and actually found a decent way to wear them, so I'll try to keep them intact. I'll probably put the other laces back in once the ends are crimped, which I'll do...someday?

Walk on and rock on, sir.

I notice the pinkie-toe-side of my foot pokes out when I'm wearing my Guidi zips (soft calf).  Should I expect this to occur in the lace up models or even the ones with stiffer leather (e.g. horse)?  Not sure how much structure other Guidi models have.

I think this is due to the soft leather and the fact that your foot is not 'held' in place. Older backzips also have a more narrow profile.

New sneakers arrived! Ordered from Holger, he nailed sizing and really hooked me up. +1 to his already stellar reputation.

KKA FW14 Jodphur pants in cotton/ramie. Pretty cool pant, but was hard to pair with shoes until now :)

My pleasure to post, my pleasure to beat them up! Still got a long way to go before any real wear manifests. But they're feeling amazing, too. I wore them for 16 hours at work one day this week and my feet were happy in them all day. Not pulling that kind of shenanigans again, but good to know which boots to wear if I have to.

not liking much from that... why is he going back to such rounded toe boxes....

antolioni has the below on their website as a pre-order, a1923 made that boot a while back and it was fairly bad.
