If the CM side has its ballers that can regularly meet up with these Italian/English tailors and cobblers, do multiple commissions in one visit, and has vast knowledge/familiarity of their products, then I think uzairh is the their equivalent here in SW&D.

To be honest, I am also getting curious who uzairh is. I do know nicelynice has met him.

Uzairh is just a cool guy haha, not Jude Law or Seal or anything

If it was just about being a baller, it would be punk Chinese spoiled brats visiting the workshops

It's about class!

Visiting Atelier tomorrow to see the A1923 and Guidi. Sorry to plug my own shit here, but the artisanal section seems most appropriate for getting the info out there.

The Carpe flat soles and Augusta classic work boots are for sale in the classifieds, check out the signature :)

Damn, son

Also wondering where the hidden laces go in the low tops that eck posted: do you have to step on them? Or is there somewhere more comfortable to lace them
post #20198 of 22298
They tie on the inside, you can cut them to the desired length

anyway you can edit the posts using the spoiler tag? looks like this:

just highlight the quoted text and click that so that the old images won't take up all page.

Anyone know what "confezione ago" or "Lavorazione Ideal" or "Lazorazione Ago" means with regards to shoe construction? Geoffrey B Small mentions it on his shoe construction but never says what it means.  I think the last one straight up means "cemented"?

Not sure about the first, but the second means the veldtschoen method, and the last, I think "by needle", since ago can mean needle.

Thanks.

So the first sounds like it also has to do with needles?  Google translate says it means 'packaging' but is also a synonym of sartoria... (tailored by needle construction...) maybe hand welted?
