They are still a full grain reversed leather but the Guidi treatment lends a leather that is so soft it garners the epithet "meat sock". The shape is only going to go more slouchy on you in time. If you're not into that unstructured look then I'd sell them off. If you regret this later and decide to replace with something similar then I would suggest an MA+ backzip in heavy calf or bison. Those will give you all of the structure and shape you're looking for but still develop some nice front folds at the ankle over time. Here is a comparison pic of Guidi 988 full grain back zips (silver painted) vs. MA+ bison backzips. Both are lined. The Guidis have been worn maybe 4 times total and the MA have been worn several times a week for 6 months. I'm also not the first owner of the MA but the Guidi are new.
