those are beautiful @tiz12 – the pronounced/ "worn" grain provides a nice balance to the sleek last. is that calf or deerskin?
To be perfectly honest I'm not sure, I was under the impression they were calf although someone may want to correct me.
Sure, I'll take some after work today. Any specific details you were thinking of? The pictures on Daad Dantone are actually quite accurate, if you want a quick look.
Thanks! Actually the link you provided is very helpful - I just wanted to see the color more clearly. A great purchase man, congratz! I will post soob my new Layer 0 that I got from @eton97
Really nice, MZ! @sinnedk, when the previous iteration of these came out a few years ago, they were also low boots, which I didn't like. I loved the color so much though that I asked Marco if Alessio might be able to make a pair with a higher shaft, and Alessio was kind enough to oblige. I've been wearing the shit out of them (I mean, as much as i can with way too many pairs in rotation), and they don't look so green anymore, but that makes me love them more.
I just snapped some of the lamest pictures this thread has ever seen to "show them off." For your convenience, I took the pics in front of items with more-or-less known electromagnetic signatures (we all know what colors red lentils and polenta are, right?) to help with perspective.
This thread has really been "going green" lately, starting I think with ATG's amazing new derbies, and I love it. Makes me even more impatient to get ahold of the green/black shell workboots I ordered from Simone oh-so-many moons ago.
Thanks! Like I said, I really love the way they're aging; makes me want to wear them even more. I don't remember exactly how long the turn-around time was on them, but it wasn't heinous, maybe 3 months? Not CCP/IE level at all, which was very cool. I also asked if it was possible to get a pair of the brown shell cordovan ones made after they sold out, and those took longer, about 6 months. But I've found that the lag-time can work in one's favor: when something shows up, you just say to your partner, "Oh, man! I ordered this shit like a YEAR ago! I forgot all about [it]!" The eyebrow raises, the eyes themselves roll, but then it's over. The past is the past, even if it shows up on your doorstep today.
