Looks like a good result. I've considered the same treatment for some buttero boots in a similar colour. Did you use cream or wax polish?

What's the recommended course of action here? Would i have luck contacting Incarnation directly? What would they be able to do?

or would you recommend just have a cobbler keep reinforcing it?

Attached pic of the boot. the split isn't visible in this pic, but you can get an idea of the sole.

It seems to be a structural defect, but it's also a silly stupid design. On leather soled shoes that are not, say, moccasins, there is typivally a heel unit for a reason.  The super heavy leather used for soles is stiff, and can only llex so much. and the heel unit, in part, functions to take away some of that stress on the middle part of the sole.  A boot like this, if you wear it hard at all, and if you have a regular footfall, it's much more likely to fail then say, a crepe or morflex wedge.

So, a cool looking boot, but also sorta dumb.

How's the sizing on S23M? TTS? Have had issues in the past with some Carpes having such a low instep... Dunno if that's the case with these though.

Carpe sizing is easily explained:

Bubble toe fits a half size large in all aspects.
Non-bubble toe fits tts except for a crushingly low instep

Shell cordovan fits a size small

Despite the crushingly low instep, I found my non-bubble 7-holes in size 41 to fit my 8.5D feet perfectly fine.

Some months ago I thought I'd never buy into the hype. But something happened. I don't know what, but I have no regrets.

PSA for size 43 guys: a pair of excellent Layer-0 workboots, barely worn. Great seller (@eton97), great deal.
