guidi quality is quite good. one concern, however, is the softness of the sole/heels, but that shouldn't be an issue as vibram is a must on any shoe/boot in this price range...

One thing to consider with guidi is that their footwear fits kind of loose on your foot, so it can seem more like a slipper (with a high shaft) than a boot.
they line their boots with the sweetest leather.

hurhur, you are missing the major company that used guidi leather and probably the company that paved the way for guidi to start making their own shoes and having such popularity in this niche market amongst other footwear designers. that company is carpe diem.

under $600 for a pair of new guidi boots is unheard of.

for Guidi, size up. I'm a true 41, but wear a 42 in Guidi.
Guidi quality is good, great in fact. Many other companies use Guidi leather for their products. KKA, Backlash, Individual Sentiments, Layer-0 etc. Just to name a few.

so if i am a 43.5 what do i do? i am a true us11d, what is best size for me

I think it depends. if you prefer a snugger, tighter fit, you could probably go with 44. if not 45 would be best for you. So it depends on how you like your shoes to fit.

i usually go TTS on my shoes and prefer roomier, basically roomy enough to wiggle my toes, sock size can be adjusted :)

I vote for the 45's. I'm a 41/US8 and take a Guidi 42.

Random Carpe Diem pics I've been meaning to add

Rec me a carpe like boot I can use as a beater, want guidi/augusta quality, must have laces, not a super high heel, no deformed shape and not too high.

Went through atelier's site and lots of ugly.

Additional notes, I like butteros but I dislike their high ass heel and high shaft otherwise they would be what I am looking for. I can trash them they don't need to be distressed or wrinkly or look like they're blowing in the wind, plus don't want goofy looking toebox.

Don't think I've ever seen a boot from a non-traditional shoe company that I've ever liked... unless you count MMM/Paul Smith.

i chopped the heel on my butteros and they are really great boots, imo. It doesn't throw the balance off. I also feel like the leather on them is of higher quality than most of my leather footwear. the only complaint I have is lacing is a *****, I gotta take them out of the first 3 eyelets or so before I can get the off. but i suffer for the fashunz

They're the same as the 2nd ebay link, I think it's a discontinued model. I don't like the rear of the boot and how extended the toebox is aft of the laces but they are nice.

Guess I just won't cop anything, going to have some vass coming soon anyway in a totally different vein so I'll keep looking thanks. I do like the high ones you have in the reverse leather just wish they were shorter.
