Can I ship something in free USPS tyvek Priority Mail envelope but place Parcel Post postage on it?

u live in nyc. just walk to the post office and get the right envelopes/boxes. they are free.

Not if he wants to put parcel postage on it. For that he needs his own packaging.

If it says Priority Mail anywhere on the package, it can only be shipped Priority or they will have a hissyfit.

True - but you can get a free one from fedex or ups and use that no prob

what is this parcel postage? is it cheaper than flat rate USPS?

Sometimes. Flat rate isn't always cheaper. But Parcel Post is also slower (5-7 business days I think). Parcel Post is the equivalent of UPS Ground.

Not at my post office. They also throw a hissyfit. Go to U-line, buy their brown wrapping paper that comes in a ridiculously long 2 mile roll. Get priority mail boxes, wrap it in brown paper. Viola, put your parcel post sticker on that.
