I've come across more frequently than ever before this shocking cultural phenomenon that I've encapsulated in the title of this thread. That's right, white people who pretend to be Japanese. What do you guys think about this? From using mainly Japanese products to adopting the Asian ways of life. It's not just in the movies anymore.

Japan is always 10 years ahead of us, you're just seeing the trickle down effect also you may hang out with a lot of nerds

Old news. Lots of geeks been trying to be Japanese forever. There was a girl at my uni who would always talk about how when she had sunglasses on, everyone thought she was Japanese. This is was a fat white girl with a bulbous nose. I always called her out for being a weaboo. She would wear shitty wool kimono to school and learned how to play the shamisen. ugh.
