The thing is i willingly say that i have no special info on AS. In actuality it is the sensitiveness around the subject that makes it all so conspicuous. I for one believe it is counter-productive for AS as it makes it seem they have something to hide.

I can also detect that some big timers here would like to shoot at AS- most likely for commercial advantage but also maybe out of what they consider to be undue favouritism.

It is all happening above my head between people here with interests that go beyond discussion of merits- and this is from all sides.

I am just a guy that gets pissed off with censorship

Cameroon, you'll get censored again.

No-one has censored you for your comments - all I've done is ask you why you seem to be so sensitive about Alfred Sargent, as you seem to be getting rather too emotionally involved and seeing some sort of conspiracy where there is none.

See above.

TG - You're in New York, right? Contact Leffot. He'll give you a price, probably a pleasant surprise.

The website is now online www.alfredsargent.co.uk

I'd say it looks really nice...

Now the question is, are there any stores that are stocking a significant number of the models shown on the website? There seem to be a few places that have a couple models, but nothing even close to what's shown on the AS website.

Another note, some of the Exclusive Range just look like better finished versions of their old "Premier" line

I was talking to someone in the trade and the information passed on is that Alfred Sargent was indeed in serious trouble, like 11th hour serious trouble. Only the intervention of one of their customers buying into the company prevented them from closing. Major problems from concentrating mainly on the higher end lines and not the bread and butter. Also said that all is now ok due to the input of the new joint owners and shoes are indeed very good quality.
