Any Tips For Gifting Clothes To DAD ?

Well i am planning to gift something to dad and came up with an idea of clothes but dont really know what exactly to go for

any suggestions you have for this purpose ?

yeah good call on the necktie and belt. a nice polo shirt would work as well IMO.

You could also give him something modern but derived from his era. For example, an 80s-inspired jacket. This would depend on when exactly he was around 20, though...

I'd get him a button up shirt or a nice blazer if you can afford it. I know my dad has a closet full polo shirts and slacks - no need to get him any more.
