I know AG doesn't get much love around here, but I was looking at Neiman's website, and saw these two pairs:

They look nice in the picture, but I have no experience with the fit or the denim. I understand why everyone hates on their distressed flare jeans, but these at least look like what I'm looking for: slim, straight leg without being super tight and still being somewhat mainstream though done in a very up-and-coming style.

I think they look pretty good. The slim 'n straight (but not tight) look is what I prefer as well since I'm quite thin, but I also have some meat on my thighs and ass (hmm.. that sounded gay). Now whether you can do better at that price point, I'm sure the denimheads here could let you know.

dont know zero about AG quality, but the "teddyboy" skinny jean I tried on was pretty nice. Their pricepoint opens up many other brands as options so it's probably not surprising AG doesnt get much love, esp since they arent spearheading any particular cut, just hopping on the wagon of whatever is "in"

G's fit me better than most. Hence, I buy them. I also have a fondness for South Gate, CA.

I owned a few pairs of AGs, mostly the Fillmores, but sold them because they were uninspiring and didn't seem like they would be very durable.

Current AG jeans aren't necessarily crap, just don't expect the same quality or durability as your Nudies. I have no huge gripe against them aside from the fact that they're just kind of bland to my eyes.

I own two pair, have for two years. They have thier blandness about them as stated above, but I do enjoy mine. If you are able to achieve the look you want in them then I say go for it. Durability is not something I've heard any gripes about with these jeans but that all depends on how you intend to wear them.
