In a "classical space," contrast with the surroundings may elevate the appeal. They would seem fitting for a lot of the California bungalows around us, but most people we know go for white or brown DWR fare. Others, like us, like to have Modern furniture and rustic dressings, or rustic furniture and Modern dressings.

Do your roommates also take up as much of an interest ? Navajo are nice as well. Quite a lot of local makers around too. But to be honest I prefer classical rugs. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

My girlfriend? Yes, we have similar taste, but hers is more refined. She has a decorator's eye.

I figured you'd prefer the classic ones. You have too much ethnic pride not to.

it's not even pride, they're objectively superior i do enjoy SW designs though, it grows on you eventually. And certainly more coherent in terms of external-internal transitions. sorry for the assumption I thought you were living with three other gentlemen.
