I'm cross posting from the SW&D subforum. These jeans have MC appeal because they are "classic straight leg" indigo jeans. They fit like Levi 501's. They are tagged "Handmade in New York." Rag and Bone makes jeans from selvedge denim material, which is known for its durability. (White edges visible at cuff in the 2nd picture) You can read more about selvedge: HERE To answer polar-lemon below: I believe this is considered "one wash" denim. In other words: this is "raw" selvedge denim that has been washed once by the manufacturer to soften the fibers. I've handled raw denim before. Raw denim is very rigid and scratchy. Personally, I wouldn't wear raw denim without first washing it to soften the fibers. The denim on the Rag & Bone pair is softer, but retains virtually all of the indigo dye.
