Vox's heredity may be of the Mayflower, but his wisdom is of the mayfly.

Simple. He has been here so long and in such a bold capacity that hero worship and sycophantism has got boring. He masks his posts for the same reason KitonBrioni posts a 5-line list of brands every day and Merkur posts ".." a lot. Because being famous is inherently boring and they need to entertain themselves.

Interestingly this is the same reason Li-Lo steams and MJ bought a theme park.

I think Kitonbrioni posts for much different reasons than Vox does.

I feel like I'm finally being initiated into the mysteries of the movement.

Where can I partake of classic Vox?

Kitonbrioni's clothes posts where he simply lists the brands is annoying as hell. He sounds like a sorority girl.

Anyway, am I the only one that doesn't notice Vox? Am I crazy?

You don't have to notice him, but it's your loss. He's hella funny!

Wanna rethink that question in light of the thread in which it was asked?

Hes also a dude who spends every waking moment on this forum. So we can probably stop worshipping him. Its more pathetic than anything else. Yes, its a need for attention, to seem cool, and nothing bad can happen to me for saying that hes unjustifiably elitist and pompous and thinks his words are worth so much more than they really are, because he's just a dude on the internet.

Vox, either post or stfu. As far as I'm concerned, your response to everything is '..'

This loses any profundity when its a substitute for nothing. As far as everybody is concerned, you have nothing to contribute.

Can we let this thread die. You all should have your heads examined.

The cult of personality is one of the cornerstone of SF...

SF needs its personal Jesuses more than we really need them...
