....where the paying customers are, for the most part well dressed seems, as a 10 hour or so a week player (albeit at a lowly 3.5 level) a decent way to introduce myself to SF with my first post.
I live near Fredericksburg, Texas but play my tennis in Kerrvile, I am the third youngest player (at 58) in our group of men which normally numbers 24-30 every Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings with a 'doubles clinic' on Thurdays. Our oldest player is 83 and still very spry (blast him!
)
On 'non-tennis' days I have an upper body work-out routine (weights/machines) at a local gym.
My playing attire is almost anything one can come across at 'Tennis Warehouse' with my preference in shorts being that they are shorter than most now available as I have only a 30" inside leg measurement, but my shoes are almost always from 'Prince' (T9's or T22's) as they seem to fit my wide forefoot better than anything.
Our 'pro' and the manager of the facility is an ex Davis Cup and international circuit player, in the early 1960's, Christopher Crawford.
I expect I'll be a lurker rather than a regular poster until I have something of import to ask, but if there are any older tennistas out there it would be good to hear from you,
