I have the slim fit version from last year and it is great. Functionally warm for its weigh and not bulky. As far as quality, I'd pick this up over other ultralights every time, and this is like 1/3-1/2 of the price - seems likely to hold up as long as the down jackets I have from outdoor/technical specific brands (Patagonia, Nau, Manastash).

Back for the weekend and I'm probably going to buy a new suit.

Since the Stonestown store isn't open until tomorrow, no one can really compare stock yet. Stopped by the downtown store last night on the way home and they've restocked a lot of the new stuff though, pretty much everything on the site is in store give or take a few sizes. I don't recommend this year's blended suit. It looks really cheap and nothing close to last year's 70% wool blend. It's almost like a really bad wool flannel. I'd cross your fingers for a tasmanian suit to come back. Because the BART strike is on tomorrow, I'm gonna take the metro home and stop at Stonestown. If it's not terribly crowded and I have time, I'll visit and let you know what I see.

I regret not buying a couple more flannel shirts when they were on sale. The quality and fit are both surprisingly nice.

How is the fit for the flannels? I wear a size M for H&M considering H&M and Uniqlo are comparable. I noticed the sizings are different...

uh, was just at the flagship in NYC this weekend and really wanted to get the green MA-1 jacket in XS and they literally had like 2-3 in stock of the jacket for any size in all the locations (all like L or XL)... Anyone know where/how I can get an XS? Willing to proxy from Europe even

Anyone familiar with their jeans? How tight are the skinny tapered versions? Also I was thinking about buying the jean leggings but I'm worried they will look like leggings. Also it mentions a higher rise.

High recommend the skinny tapereds. (I posted a fit in WAYWT recently with the black ones)

They loosen up quite a bit in the thigh, hem around 6.75, makes for a nice silhouette. Super soft and comfortable. I've basically given up on raw denim ha

Anyone have the Mens' Mountain Parka? I'm a 41.5 chest and I just wanted to get an idea on how the sizes were on this. Any help would be appreciated.

Also in the measurements for each item "body width" is that chest?

Bummer about the wool blend. I have a navy wool blend blazer from last year but no matching pants. I'll probably stop by the Stonestown one tomorrow as well. Or Hillsdale, assuming Stonestown is crowded.

Anyone find standouts for this season to check out?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but Google was no help. Is the $7 return fee per item or per order?

Guys, help me out. bit of a uniqlo noob (The only Uniqlo pieces I purchased recently are sweatshirts, t shirts, and the ma-1 windbreaker)

What are the best "bang for the buck" pieces from Uniqlo (such as the oxford) and what are the pieces to avoid? (the knits apparently)

What size button up shirts/oxfords should I be wearing if I wear slim fit mediums from J.Crew and Club Monaco?

They've been out of stock on the UK site for weeks frown.gif

Golf54 - You should certainly try the skinny black jeans.

Just tried on a few pairs of those. I wanted to buy them, I did, especially considering the price and the camo print and the red ones, etc but ultimately didn't get them for two reasons. One, the rise, which since I didn't hike them up, just made them hang low so they felt restrictive while walking and pulled a little at that lower crotch area. I'm 5'6 so I like all the inseam I can get. Might not be a dealbreaker for you. Second, I was a little scared of the leggings name but even though they weren't actually all that tight, the fabric is really thin so it just felt really naked and tight and stretchy. I've got some low oz denim that's tight, but the thinness plus stretchyness just felt too much like, well leggings. YYMV

fedex du pulled up a little while ago so took a quick and dirty snap of one of the flannels (always looks larger in my shots)

O0B0lopl.jpg

fits a little snug in the armpit with this oversize tee on, would prob floss with thermal underneath, a bit snug throughout the arm, length is good, shoulders almost too perfect, would prefer collar points to be longer, fabric feels impressive for 29 bux, don't like the buttons

overall recc'ed by me

if i made flannels they would slightly more antifit through shoulder and sleeve but not baggy and shorter sleeves

too bad it's 85 today or i'd be wearing one of them, patterns are great
