The Uniqlo Thread - Page 64

My only criticism is the button stance is about an inch high for my preference, but otherwise i was just looking at it last week thinking, why would I ever pay like $1500 for some armani SC to get this same fit when I can really just do Uniqlo and look better. I don't even know if it's worth it to use this +J SC as a model for future MTM or just buy it OTR from them in future again. Prices - were $150, now marked down to $100. As of 3 weeks ago, plenty of XS's in navy and black. not much in pants though.

Got a linen blazer from the Uniqlo flagship store in Malaysia. Not the best of fits, but decent enough. Only about $50 too, so I'm pretty happy with it.

J+ fit, see official uniqlo shots. Online store shots are quite similar to real jacket, though real jacket looks a bit fragile. I am 6ft 65kg and wore Europe/US M on Uniqlo J+. Jacket has long arms, slim shoulder(M has 17.1 inches I believe), not ultra-slim waist, slightly shorter jacket length for 6ft but bearable. This season's normal branded(not J+) jackets has similar arm and length. Then again, slim fit jackets are 2cm shorter than regular fit jackets and regular fit jackets cannot hide buttocks 100%. Uniqlo trousers are generally slim fitting and very nice. Fit is par on some renowned brands I think but materials that trousers made of are often questionable. And I believe officially Uniqlo has no suit but has same coloured jackets and trousers. If you need measurements for Uniqlo I can copypasta from Asian Uniqlo homepages.

Dad's goign back to Malaysia - what uniqlo stuff should i get him to cop ?

I was thinking socks, v-necks, oxfords, maybe blazer and cardi?

I would recommend J+ jackets /trousers on clearance and pique shirts on sale. You should not pay Uniqlo for full price. Socks seems to be not that durable but have lots of colours so if you do not have access to durable cheap socks it can be nice. Uniqlo oxford shirts have rather short arms so beware.

Their pique shirts are comparable/better to Ralph Lauren's ?

I'll check J+ jackets and trousers on their website

What about their V-necks? I heard they are durable and good as Hanes..?

Heard some good things about their socks from SF Sales and Uniqlo threads - better than Happy Socks

Does anyone know what would the T-000 be on their website ? http://www.uniqlo.com/my/explorer.ht...:category/d:6/

Loose fit tapered or skinny fit ?

Uniqlo piques are very good in price/performance ratio. Boxed fit, quite durable but their dry piques have polyesther on them. I did not actually buy Uniqlo piques so I cannot comment on whether Uniqlo is par on Polo Ralph Lauren or not. I do not think they sell wool V-necks on summer. Maybe there would be remaining spring season cotton v-necks. T-000 is skinny fit jeans. 001 is slim straight, 002 is regular fit. MIJ jeans(not selvage jeans... It's a different model.) are quite nice on both fit and durability, but expensive when it is not on sale.

Does the +J line have a blue/navy cotton suit available for this season? I've tried looking on their site but it's a bit confusing. Also, does anyone know when they usually do sales on the +J stuff?

Finally, why the big hubbub about their socks?
