Slim fit ocbds make me sad. Going with my normal size (M) is too tight but sizing up ends up being too big and long.

i could have gotten away with a small, but there was a slight amount of pulling in the chest that i didn't like. i ended up getting a medium, washed it on cold and threw it in the dryer until it was completely dry; washing it in warm water would probably shrink it even more. it fits pretty well now, so that's just something to consider

how does the slim fit ocbd compare to the +J slim fit oxfords?

one thing I hate about +J is how the shirt tends to ballon out at the waist and not tapered.

so my slim fit oxfords finally arrived and they're a little smaller than i was expecting. i was using a regular oxford in medium as a yardstick (which was admittedly too large) and opted for the slim fits in small, mainly on the advice given here. i'm 6'0, 145lbs - so reasonably tall. i'd say the slim fit smalls fit okay now having not yet seen a wash, but i would love an extra centimetre or two in length (and in width!). i don't know, i like to wear my things a little slouchier these days (read: not sloppy) and these smalls feel marginally restrictive.

what do you think?

they look pretty regular fit to me

the color is nice, is it light blue?

I would say you could probably get away with an XS based on those photos (the sleeves look pretty baggy and the armhole is falling off of your shoulder).

Definitely wouldn't suggest going a size larger.

^ falling off my shoulder, eh? shows how much i know. it's mainly the length that's bugging me. you can see my belt line from the side.. would definitely not opt for XS; i'm contemplating medium (even though it'd mean buying another set - no qlo's where i am).

and yes, light blue. i've also navy, olive and off-white - all nice colours indeed.

u could always try some in a slim-fit medium and just give it a warm wash and dry for shrinkage

Uniqulo in the US are not friendly for short people.

Being 5'7" 140lbs with an athletic build I am a S or M in Uniqulo Japan

Knowing Uniqulo here is larger I went ahead and ordered some Linen shirts that were sale last week in XS. Too long in the sleeves and in overall length. I really wanted to get the slim fit oxfords too frown.gif

I guess its back to friends and family getting me stuff from Japan

I'm 5'5" and don't really have any issues with the OCBDs or dress shirts. I don't wear them untucked though, but sleeve length is fine on the small. I have only tried the regular fit though, not the slim.

Are the vintage chinos any good? I have read conflicting reports and the slim chinos are too tight on my thighs.

Also, I see people refer to he t-000 jeans. Are these the skinny jeans? How do they compare to the slim fit chinos?

The vintage chinos are well made - I like the fit, but it's not slim.

Yea like MOK said the vintage chinos are not slim. I have a pair in size 32x32 from years back and the leg opening is 8.5" or 9".

Yes the t-000 are the skinny fit taper jeans. They are smaller than the slim fit.
