My grosgrain OCBD came in. 

Fit is great aside from it could be be an inch shorter in the body and the arms half an inch longer. The chest, shoulders and neck are just wide enough - gonna cold wash and pull the sleeves once it's wet and see how it comes out.

 

It is a bit slimmer in the chest than the old casual OCBDs and maybe a bit longer in the body. Still, don't think it's enough to size up for me.

Are people expecting Thom Browne grosgrain plackets?

^Are these waffle thermals any good? And will they be back in stock on the website soon, anyone know?

i have both--i prefer the regular heattech stuff, but the waffles are ok too

Crump's Brother, I checked with them about this and they don't. You can bring your web order into one of their stores and they will make alterations for free. But if your ordering from far away that pretty much defeats the purpose.

When you could order from the soho store over the phone or through email I had them alter a couple of pairs of trousers...unfortunately I could not tell the one pair was pinstriped from the online pic

How are people sizing the MIJ selvage? Was thinking about getting a pair of the regular straight fight. Do I need to size down a ton? How much will they stretch?

they stretch. as far as sizing, it depends on what you're going for.

I always thought the lack of slim fit oxfords was a website only phenomenon. Turns out not a single one was at the 5th Ave or Broadway stores either.

I'd recommend down one. I have the grey slim fits, and they stretch in the waist, but not to a ridiculous degree (yet, at least).

Dropped in today and they have some new field jackets (Black, orange, and tan). Not as thick as the ones from this previous fall, but priced the same, i.e., $79.90:


They also have some knit ties now too. Forgot to check if they were silk. I think they were around $20.

Ties are $13 and 100% synthetic.  They also had (at least at 34th St) some cotton/linen blends (not knit) for the same price.

Have to say those field jackets look nowhere near as nice as the F/W version. The material sheen isn't too attractive in my eyes...
