thinking of getting the idlf collab trench. i know its a womens piece, but it looks pretty good in the pics. is the quality and feel like the usual uniqlo outerwear, that is not very good?

I think outerwear is Uniqlo's strength. Every few seasons they come out with some pretty nice outerwear that I look forward to.

They've focused much more on synthetic fabrics and blends in the past couple of years. The fabric quality on some of their wools aren't always the best, but overall they're still a pretty good deal, especially on sale.

In my experience, their outerwear is pretty solidly constructed. Some of my socks and 1 or 2 of my Supima cotton tees have developed holes, but the outerwear I've gotten from them have held up well.

For that trench, I would try it on in person. The shoulder width and sleeve length may not work out since it is a women's piece. The waist may be a little cinched/fitted too. The one thing that would bother me a bit is the opposite buttons, especially since it is a trench coat.

If it fits well and you like it, I'd personally wait until it goes on sale.

I got the impression from this thread that most consider Uniqlo outerwear to be meh. I do like their designs, but they might not hold up. I haven't got much of it so I can't say.

Uniqlo collab outerwear is fine, with the best outerwear being the +J stuff years ago.

Mainline outerwear is ehh. For example, the Chesterfields this season are way too long.

Gonna go to the Toronto opening tomorrow. Hopefully the line isn't too crazy long...

I'll try to let you guys know how the UniqloU stuff is!
hmmmmmmmmmmmm not sure what to try (if anything) out of this Uniqlo U stuff. Anyone been able to handle it in person yet?

I ordered the wool pants online, but haven't seen them in person. They look good in the photos. Nothing else really stands out to me besides maybe the sweatpants and double face wool coat/jacket.

Has anyone tried on the Uniqlo U mock neck sweaters and how they fit? The Uniqlo x Lemaire sweaters were quite tight, but it looks like these are more relaxed?

Also, am I the only one who feels the waist on the merino sweaters has become way too wide? It's even sagging around the waist on their product pictures.

Uniqlo U is only available in Toronto, Paris and Tokyo, so far, so don't expect anyone to have tried them, yet.

The line is crazy long. I'm seeing photos where the lineup stretches to the Canadian Tire.

Perhaps in-store. Assume it's avaible there and should be in London as well. Not only Americans on SF.

Yeah, but I just told you, it's only available in three cities, so far.
