The Uniqlo Thread - Page 940

These are nice. Super soft, pretty thin...good for layering underneath stuff.

I ordered two sizes: my regular size and also 1 size down, based on the larger measurements. They do fit looser than usual, but I'd recommend going TTS ... the slightly loose fit works best. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend these as a F/W basic for layering. Will pair them with minimalist Lemaire-esque fits and also more heritage-inspired Engineered Garments–type fits.

Any chance for a fit pic? Been looking for an affordable Lemaire-ish band-collar.

Anybody knows the difference between the Blocktech Parka and the Blocktech Raincoat ?

parka:http://www.uniqlo.com/us/product/men-blocktech-parka-178767.html#09~/men/outerwear-and-blazers/jackets-and-coats/blocktech/~

raincoat:http://www.uniqlo.com/us/product/men-s-blocktech-rain-coat-167506.html#15~/men/outerwear-and-blazers/jackets-and-coats/blocktech/~

I can't tell if it's a wrong listing or if there are actual differences ? Material, colors, and cut look the same to me...

Cheers

yeah, there is seperate sizing for the 'asian' (japan/hong kong/taiwan etc) vs 'western' (us/uk/australia etc) markets. generally speaking, a M in the asian sizing is a S in the western sizing. for tops, the asian sizing is usually cut slightly shorter on the body and sleeves too. occasionally a western store will get some asian stock (e.g. heattech) but it's usually rare due to the logistics that you mentioned.

i wish they stopped changing the cut of the ocbds every season.

haven't stopped by a UNIQLO in a couple of months, feels like they're really riding the street wear trend. anyone else feel this way too?

I think the raincoat might just be the previous season's iteration

Thanks!

Got the Parka. Very nice, the fabric is awesome. I would take one size lower than what you usually get at Uniqlo.

First one in Canada!

I read they aren't doing online sales for a while though, which is really disappointing for those who aren't in the GTA.

From the article

"Along with this unique section, the store has some of the Uniqlo's more well-known capsule collections, including Ines (by Ines de la Fressange) as well as Uniqlo U."

Not only that, but according to this article:

the exclusive U collection that will be available only in Toronto, Paris, and Tokyo for a week after open

You can see some of the collection in the photos

Oh man, we're getting Uniqlo U? I may have to try and make it down this weekend. Although I suspect that the North American proportions may make the sleeves on sweaters and pullovers too long.

So how are the comfort jersey shirts?

Ok for office wear? Decent fit?
