if i were you i'd lose weight, lurk for a while and kop mostly footwear in the meantime. you foot size is (more or less) weight-insensitive; well-made and nice-looking shoes can survive many an aesthetic change (inevitable when starting out), and a simple outfit (white tee and well-fitting jeans, say) elevated by a great pair of shoes is not a bad look at all. who knows, by the time you're done losing weight you may have lurked enough to decide that you like simple outfits so much that all you're left to do style-wise is to improve on the jeans + tee + nice shoes combo (rather than moving on to kopping baller outerwear / knits for example)

Very sage advice. I have a pair of Gucci loafers right now which are killing my feet. Any suggestions?

i'm hardly in a position to offer suggestions but there're lots of active shoes threads in this forum worth checking out, e.g.

baller sneaker thread
paul smith shoes thread
streetwear shoes and boots thread
alden thread
how many shoes you own

this may also be worth reading (in terms of wardrobe planning but also for shoes suggestions )

I'm not sure what you mean by "right" image.

Ok I bolded what was relevant, everything else is not. Since you live in the PNW you have a lot more options in terms of outerwear and layering. Your best investment, other than shoes, would be some good quality outerwear.

Seems like they've got some good changes happening there.

But I understand the sentiment.

JCrew is okay but why blow money on items you might dislike a few months from now? Also you talked about losing weight, so it'd be literally wasting money.

Try browsing the Official best Best Fit Pictures for a an idea of what you'll like. Ask any questions on brands, the users, or whatever in this thread.
