My grandmother, while an extremely honest person, is the queen of passive-aggressive behavior. I remember going on a trip with them when I was a kid, and the conversations went like this:
GRANDPA: Where do you feel like eating?
GRANDMA: Oh, anywhere.
GRANDPA: Well then, how about IHOP?
GRANDMA: Oh, you don't really want pancakes for lunch, do you?*
GRANDPA: Then what do you feel like?
GRANDMA: Anything, it doesn't really matter.
GRANDPA: There's a MacDonald's over there.
GRANDMA: Oh, it's so greasy, and the bathrooms are almost never clean.**
GRANDPA: Well then, dammit, what do you want?
GRANDMA: I told you I really don't care.
etc. etc.
