Another Bijan Tie $150

In an ideal world, oldog/oldtrix would whip out his checkbook, buy everything in this threak, and then model it piece by piece in "CBD WAYWRN".

Fun thread. The styling, and admittedly the pricing, is a little much for me at the advertised and well marked '100% Bijan' level. Do you happen to have any items that are, perhaps, only 5-10% Bijan?

Merchandise doesn't even look that great. If this stuff was "worth" what seller claims, it would be offered in a boutique instead of sold from some dingy apartment that needs an updated kitchen (see pics).

What's with the shit show and this thread? Its filled with you self possessed bitches whining and sniping about everything from Bijan's personal conduct to the OP's taste in home decor. Let the man display his wardrobe for fuck's sake. Regardless of whether or not its falls within your narrow vision fashion, it is for the most absolutely gorgeous and far more enriching for SF as whole than yet another thread filled with your size 8 AE tassel loafers. If you don't like what he's offering, move on. No one needs to hear your opinion. There are plenty of threads here where you and your buddies can pat each other on the ass and sniff each others shit. I am sure they will welcome you back with open arms.

Srs question NYT Obit for Bijan has the following nugget of information:
Quote:
In truth, his clothes were priced merely at the high end of the market ($1,000 suits, $200 shirts), comparable to most other luxury designers. Still, the mention of the Bijan name suggested caviar and yachts.
How does that fit in with what we see here?

John Galt, Surely you do not believe Bijan suits are a thousand dollars a piece? Seriously you do not think this? It's impossible to be so naive...even if you have NEVER been in the store or known someone who had been. This excerpt was taken by the NYT out of a much older article and placed in the article about his death (and let me tell you in 1976 a Bijan suit would've been at least $2,000 so to state you can buy one for $1,000 today is amusing). Poor editing and even poorer judgement on your behalf sir. Next time you wish to insult someone, try not to insult yourself. Another Bijan Tie (RETAIL VALUE John Galt is $650) My price $150

As I said, it was a serious question. I've never been in a Bijan store and have no clue as to what the prices really are. For all I know, maybe a $3500 shirt is always "on sale" for 95% off. It's not an insult, it's a question. The article further states that Bijan is a master at marketing a lifestyle, so perhaps we are just lead to believe that the prices are stratospheric when, if one had an appointment, one would discover that in reality they are not. One would think that the "newspaper of record" would have accurate information, though I am not particularly surprised if they do not. With that being said, obligatory:

Honestly, I couldn't pull off really any of those shirts, however The belts look spectacular and some of the coats are pretty epic. Of course even for Bijan I cannot see myslef spending that kind of coin on a coat or a belt. I am really curious as to how the hell the OP with drop these? Pm'd on Hermes tie though
