After watching the Hangover II

As a local Thai, I'm interested to know if the movie has scared you away from visiting Thailand or it actually makes you want to see more of this country.

I have visited several online Thai discussion threads and there has been many thoughts and ideas whether this movie actually damage even more Thailand image than it actually is.

Personally, I'm very embarrassed and ashamed of certain things that the movies had represented about Thailand. It is the truth that many Thais are concerned, but it was something that beyond normal Thai citizen ability to do anything to fix it. A lot of us got tired of our government because they were so corrupted and damn liars when it comes to taking of the country.

Please try to be open and not be offensive.

Thank you.

It has piqued your interest? WOW, why is that so?

tO answer your question, yes it is about the sex-based images of Thailand. Also, it is about the cleanliness of the country in overall.

because I'm in manila and tourism money's probably less than 10% of what thailand gets annually.

and yes I believe the sex-based tourism is a considerable contributor to thailand's tourism. and am I wrong to think that the thai government has been passive about this because it brings in the money?

No, but then again I just spendt 5 weeks in Thailand training. You can certainly see/do as much as you can imagine in terms of sex there. But if you don't want to, you don't even neeed to see anything of the sextrade except the occausional bargirl. I have to say Bangkok at nigh is street theather with a high entertainment value thought. The country is clean enough for me, and I'm definately going back. And I laughed alot during the movie.
