Need some fit advice.

Need something with a 31-32" waist. Do the waist measurements run true to size?

I have a 34" waist and took a 32. They're on the looser side of comfortable but I don't think I'd do 31.

i think most wings pants are hard to size if you haven't ever tried any one. i say this because all my pants are a 34 (from wings), and they all fit loose in the waist (lost a bunch of weight), but when i got a new pair and went down to a 33 to try it out, the waist was still a bit loose but the rest of the pant was very tight through the leg, and a little short. if i went to a 32 which would fit my waist perfectly, i wouldnt be able to get them up to my waist...this is my experience with them.

for reference i have anti fits in 34, (blk much more stiff than khaki), 1 year wash in 34, wool chinos in 34 and moleskins in 34 and 33, this is the pant where i saw a huge difference in going down 1 size, but have also noticed in when trying other stuff on

I have a pair of west point chinos in 30 and they fit snug. I'm usually a 31. The 30 measures 32 waist. Dunno if that helps.

 

 

i got the same size in the corded cloths (33) as I did in west points. both fit a little loose in the waist but snug everywhere else.. I wouldn't recommend sizing down.

Anyone know where I can find a large W&H selection in NYC?

Thx, yea, figured. I'm just gonna have to be a lot more picky and buy at full retail in order to get exactly what I want.

I have two pair of westpoint chinos (Navy and tan) size 33 that I would trade against 32 or 31... if anyone interested I posted something on the sale thread.

^ does the 33 measure about a 35 in the waist? i'm thinking i need a 32 too.

Steven Alan NYC shipped all their F/W stuff to their Los Feliz (LA) store.

Couldnt think of a better place to put this but if youre a small guy in LA wastelande on melrose has the OG foul weather bomber in size S for 200. Such an amazing jacket.
