does anyone have measurements or input on how this fits, don't know if XS will be too small and short. I'm a small in all the sweaters from FW10 and the hoodies

Good advice here. I'd add that these are great shirts for cooler temps. I pondered getting these today but I think I have enough heavier weight shirts.

I'm a small too. I have this in a black small and it's pretty snug. XS would probably be too tight in my opinion.

Thank you very much, I was looking for the Tiger Fleece though, I should've specified that I'm sorry. I heard the terry sweatpants aren't as warm as the tiger fleeces, is that true? I need them to be as warm as possible as it gets really cold where I live.

I feel like ssense, american rag , or Haven had the tiger fleece on sale. Honestly though, I got them and paid full price, they are worth it. Just do it.

Anyone interested in brand new with tags, Slim Fit 1-Year Wash size 28.

Or, trade with a Straight Fit Bleached size 28.

Please send me a PM.

Just looked at this thread, been off the radar for a while... Still can't get over how under-sized the down parka was from this season.

This... http://www.wingsandhorns.com/wp-content/gallery/fall-winter-2011/9.jpg

Anyways, I've been looking for a medium-grey flannel down jacket passively for 2-3 years. Saw a beautiful B. Cucinelli jacket a year or two ago online, but over a grand marked down was still too much. So I saw a pic of it on one the stocklists randomly and had to track down my size with a Boxing day sale. Used measurements from a Canadian webshop, but could only find them for small & med & large, not xl. Didn't want to waste time emailing shops.

So bought it relatively cheap and really happy with this purchase...

Though this is a medium grey tweed, not flannel still happy. I've had my tailor sew holes for an elastic drawstring to the parka hem and replaced the cotton string on the hood with elastic as well. Makes the customizability when I wear it more to my liking.

But, I couldn't believe for a down parka that W&H size XL was the right fit for me. I'm a 38-39 chest and 5'10''. Really blew me away as this is the first item I've ever ordered in XTRA LARGE. I own a whole closet of smalls, mediums and 38 with rare slim 40, but it's the XL parka that fit.

Shoulder of 18.5", ~23" chest ect. on the XL all point to size 38-40 territory for thicker down. Hell the sleeves hit right where they should, I'm pretty sure the Large sleeves would have been too short if I sized down. The parka looks like a modern parka should, trim, but loose enough so that the down is "fluffed" out and not compressed when you wear it. This helps keep the warm air near your body where it should when it's freezing out.

I'd probably be able to fit into a medium or large, and get a look more like the lookbook photo in the start of this thread. But look at it again: http://www.wingsandhorns.com/wp-content/gallery/fall-winter-2011/9.jpg

That fit the sleeves are a good inch short and fits way much too slim for a parka. When it's below freezing, it's not practical to wear a parka that doesn't cover your whole arm all the way down.

My point other than the review to new SF'ers is that clothing sizing is damn near completely arbitrary.

Buy what fits best off the rack. Sizing down isn't always the answer for a good fit, even though this was hammered into people's heads. Clothing shouldn't restrict movement much, this missed an important part of its function.

Instead, the right size should be what fits... that might just mean sizing UP.

Agreed. You should buy what size fits you comfortably and after a few washes it will take on that perfect fit between comfortable and slim.

If you size down purposely not only are you downgrading on comfort and function but also run the risk of it being too small after a few washes.

The waist is ok but the calves are too tight which makes it look skinny. Size 29 fits better overall except the waist.
