I can confirm it is definitely more of a brown - very little, if any green shade to it actually. I was wondering the same thing until seeing it in person since the preview pics definitely made it look more green.
So most online pics that show it as a brown are actually quite accurate. I was a little disappointed at first since I preferred the green, but it's slowly growing on me.

The down jacket I got from last years collection is my go-to jacket come sub freezing temps. It was $650 last year, so ~$900 seems realistic for a price tag for this years version. This year's version is too busy with pockets and the front button concealer flap for my liking...but the elastic wrists I would love to have on last years version.
I do remember that there were tons of down jackets and vests avail when the good sales came around (I had bought the jacket at 25% off, and then 2 weeks later Nomad had their stuff at 60%-50% off).

you remember around what time these sales were? starts getting brutal here in december but on the other hand i don't spend a lot of time outside and thermal+shirt/sweater+bomber will probably suffice most of the time.

Just double checked...last years down jacket was $780 retail! I bought mine December 8th...So the sales should hit late December or early Jan.

And yes, I've got a couple of outstanding purchases to make (bleached denim, green joggers except I can't find them in an L, indigo crewneck) but sales are a few weeks away so... not to mention the sample sale will be in a few weeks so that's a drain on the wallet as well.
