What? I've always known my hearing is not up to par. It's nothing too bad. I have some trouble hearing soft spoken people in loud places. I only recently discovered it was my right ear that was lacking. I used some old earbuds which had one of the buds at a louder volume then the other. When I switched ears, the difference was pretty significant. Is there anything that a doctor could do about this? The state of my hearing is by no means recent. It's been like this for as long as I can remember. It's no where near being a disability, just an annoyance.

The hearing in my right ear is not very good. What can I do?

Have your hearing tested. Tell them you are "missing things". They will test you at different volumes and frequencies and can give you insight into how well your ears function.
I have a number of friends who have one ear better than another. Sometimes it is as simple for them as sitting in certain places at dinner, that sort of thing.

I know someone who's deaf in his left ear, has to sit so his right ear is next to people. If you're in the UK Specsavers do free hearing tests.

+1. Getting tested is the first thing to do.
