if you think about it any minimum wage earning kid living at home can eat a nice meal. they would just spend their allowance at alinea instead of on a few pairs of jordans

Yeah. Mostly just prioritize. I spend most of my disposable income on food.

This is my solution as well. My dining out budget = my rent budget for the month, and I live in NYC.
