My jacket size is 38, but even a 38s on most stuff that is easily accessible to me that I can try on (brands nordstrom carries, etc) is too long. 36s is just the right length with my short legs and longer torso, but is too short in the sleeves and too tight in the chest/shoulders.

So my question is in the topic title and the reason I ask is because Ive had my heart broken ordering online. Jackets are just too long on me! (you can usually only shorten a jacket about an inch which isnt enough for me) My budget isnt huge but anything below about 400 bucks would be nice especially if I could find it on BnS. Thanks a lot guys!

you sound like a good candidate for MTM / Bespoke. You could also try Partenopia, Attolini, and Cucinelli. Their jackets are cut shorter than most. Short jackets on larger sizes are only 29 - 30" top to bottom, a 48EU size on you would likely be cut a great deal shorter, i.e. an extra inch or two shorter than that.

While it is probably well above your price range, even on B&S, you might be able to wear BBBF well. It is comically short on most people, but could very well fit you normally. I am not familiar enough with their sizing to discuss what a 0 or 1 correlates to in measurements and BOC.

Those brands are probably not far off bespoke prices

, you occasionally see them on B&S or eBay for under $1000. If you want a youthful, modern, and hip suit, you cant go wrong with Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren Black Label, or Dior. Trouble is all these labels cut their suit lengths to usual standard. Dior are slightly shorter, but probably not short enough for you. Try Brooks Brothers, I think they do an extra short, but sleeves will likely be an issue. If you can get the jacket without working cuffs, you may be able to lengthen the sleeves an inch or so. Might work, and wont cost you an arm and leg. As poster above, Black Fleece on Brooks Brothers will work, but it will cost ya!

yeah i would try BBBF.

how short are you? it might be that you're just thinking everything is too long because you've become used to seeing short suits around

I feel like I need shorter jackets to compensate for my height, if it covers my butt my upper body takes over my legs. I have had an upside down triangle shape body since I was small and working out doesnt help lol. So I like my jackers to sit above ******!

Thanks a lot for the tips though guys ill def look into bbbf.

If a 38S is a bit too long, try a BBBF in size 1. On taller people the BBBF looks funny, but I am 5'8" and their lengths are just fine for me.
