It was said that you can leave the top unbuttoned, fold the collar up, do the knot up all the way and then button, fold down. IIRC. Hope that helps.

I button all the buttons, do the knot, fold the collar down. You guys do the knot before the last button? Dont you find it cumbersome to maneuver a button behind a tie knot?

on a side note, what is everyones technique on folding down the collar? I always tend to crease mine badly when folding it down.

bump this. i leave my top button undone and the tie not completely tight up on my neck. fold down the neck then button and tighten the tie.

is there an easier way?
