Left to right, Macclesfield # 106, 135, 98, 84, 78, 99. The horrid white swath across the bottom is the Belgian linen square. Sorry for the lousy iphone pic. The package arrived at my office and I ripped it open. Reminded me of those horrible Crazy Eddie, Christmas in July commercials.

Very nice, congratulations...I never get tired of looking at pictures of Sam Hober products!

Awesome, please ID the fabrics.

Major haul arrived today. Six new Macclesfield ties. All three fold, untipped, lightly lined. And one Belgian linen pocket square. As always, beautiful. Thanks David.

this is a very conservative group, I admire your restraint. I'm always tempted to go extravagant with Hober, like a kid in a lolly shop

Here's one I'm wearing today.

The background is a true midnight blue that looks almost black. Hard to capture. I'll try to take some better pictures of the others another time.

For anyone who's thinking about getting these, I really recommend ordering a swatch set. IRL, the silks are much more beautiful than the website pictures. I probably would have passed over both the brown and charcoal ties had I not seen the swatches.

I'm going to have to order a swatch set. I just order a navy wool tie today.

My first two Hober ties: a three-fold pinspot and a four-fold grenadine. Slightly darker IRL due to flash, but gorgeous.

Is the standard construction for the grenadines to be unlined or not lined all the way through to the tip like NOBD's? With this type of construction does the tip of the tie look somewhat "see-through" from the front?
NOBD,Your tie is on its way and here are some photos of the construction process:Here your Dark Chocolate Grenadine Garza Fina Tie has been folded, pinned and partially sewn:

A better photo of the area where tipping usually is; note what I was trying to explain earlier - the wool interlining is perfectly fitted. Normally the interlining simply has a flat finish above the tipping area. The wool is naturally a lighter color so we have hand dyed the wool at our workshop, actually outside in the garden.

Here you can see the rolled edges and finished tie:

It does. Watch out, big pic:

Though the camera sees more than the eye.
