Should the tip cover the belt so the shirt doesn't show through?

Be sure to flip it around when you tie it, so the keeper ends up facing backwards (i.e. toward your tummy)

The tip should always cover the belt...

But not go past the belt, IMO. Essentially it should just rest on the belt.

Just got my first one in the mail today. A slate blue garza grossa grenadine. Absolutely beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Definitely won't be my last Hober. Thanks David for a great tie and fantastic service!

A better photo of the area where tipping usually is; note what I was trying to explain earlier - the wool interlining is perfectly fitted. Normally the interlining simply has a flat finish above the tipping area.

The wool is naturally a lighter color so we have hand dyed the wool at our workshop, actually outside in the garden.

Here you can see the rolled edges and finished tie:

(Sorry for the full quote, but) that looks great, David! Thank you very much for the wonderful work and for making these photos. Can't wait to see it IRL.

I have a bad addiction and must stop. Does anyone know where I can go for tie rehab?

No idea where you can go for rehab, but feel free to ship me your ties for safe keeping while you're there

What fabric is that last square, and do you have any shots in the wild (in a jacket)?

Damn, I love the grenadines on the left and right. The white and brown stripes are amazing! Really leaning towards grabbing one of those soon.

I'm surprised that anyone would entertain buying ties from anywhere else after looking through this thread. Brilliant.

Customised in their entirety, and construction second to none. Has me scratching my head on why I've spent so much money at Drake's.
