That's actually pretty accurate to the swatches I have.  But for god's sake, man, just order some swatches!  It will alleviate confusion in future purchases.  Computers aren't the solution to everything.

To NOBD: what is that luscious corduroy you put them on top of? I want to roll around on it  rotflmao.gif

It looks nice, doesn't it? Believe it or not: a Zegna tuxedo(-ish) shirt.

I have about 10 ties on my Sam Hober wish list and I'll order a couple at a time beginning with the dark navy with lavender strip grenadine and the slate blue gernadine.

Just 10? That's weak.

My wishlist is closer to 30.

I've only gone through the grenadine offerings, I'm scared to go through the rest of the website for fear I may end up broke. happy.gif

Just wait until you order a dozen swatch packs of the Macclesfields and you feel the earth move under your feet.

I looked at the Macclesfield print silk ties...not a fan of the most of the styles/prints.

It's nice and thick though. Think I'm going to wear it with my Stark cardigan in winter. smile.gif

Don't forget the suede shoes.  Boots?

Lino has a pair you may like.

Is it crazy to get a #10 dark navy in the Fina grenadine as well? Just by putting the swatches next to jackets I own, there really is a big difference in how well they pair. The bigger pattern jackets (maybe pattern is the wrong word here - but the wide herringbones, tweeds, houndstooth, etc.) seem to go much better with the grossa, whereas the finer patterns like birdseye and sharkskin look better with the fina. Crazy to order two ties so similar?

Unbelragazzo,

I have been thinking about your question and my thought is that if something very different catches your eye order that first - but a variation on navy and texture is a good idea in general and especially since they work differently with your jackets.

My future orders of trendiness alone will exceed that! Some way to go though, waiting on just my second order (and a third once the second arrives). Must thank David for the effort in getting the ties out.

Those swatches (and numbers) correspond to the grenadine fina ties. (NOBD or David -- please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Am I crazy, or does the #10 (dark navy) look lighter than the #11 (navy)?
