Last time I wore that tie was with a solid grey suit and solid pink shirt. Thought that combo was nice (but I am not objective in that assessment). Maybe next time I will try it with a blue or striped shirt. devil.gif

Navy and powder blue I believe.

Does anybody own the peach/brown houndstooth tie that can comment on its versatility?

Would be interesting to see a picture of this. I've worn various shades of blue ties on pink shirts before but that particular tie just doesn't seem optimal. Not saying it can't look decent, especially with a very pale pink, but just that there are probably better choices when one has enough ties. I'd probably default to a burgundy or navy solid or pindot with a pink shirt.

It's a lovely tie and is a great pairing with any light blue shirt. I can only see it being worn with a suit or maybe a navy blazer though. Maybe some sort of summer linen jacket, but it seems completely wrong with tweed and a lot of F/W odd jackets. So I'd say it's moderately versatile (most ties don't work with everything so that's not exactly an indictment); you could do better or worse in terms of versatility. If you already have 10 ties you like, however, I'd buy without worrying about versatility.

Here is the combo, the pink is indeed pale.

+1 - I have worn with navy and grey

^ I like that a bit more than I thought I would. I still think a white shirt is the best overall choice with that tie but that look does work.

Yes, I love that tie.  It almost looks too warm for white, but wear it with a white shift and navy suit.  Navy can be almost grey or slate.

I have seen pics of that tie with blue shirts, and have not gone there yet.

Here is a link to some dude showing his stuff....

Okay, there is no paler pink than that.  Really versatile!  Any other pink....Navy tie.

I wonder who that is...

The suit is a dark charcoal and the shirt is actually a very pale grey (damn near blue).

Today's Hober is a repeat and is the navy grenadine fina (6-fold construction).

Sometimes it's easier to just look through PP's pictures to see what my next purchase will be, rather than go to the website.
